The Candy Twins release their new download single Happy Families on July 20th 2009 with emerging label indie-mp3 records, an off-shoot of critically acclaimed Lostmusic Records, and the indie-mp3 blog.

The guitar-driven track combines darkish lyrics with a breezy romp of a pop tune based around the traditional and very un-pc Happy Families card game. It will be available on i-Tunes, Spotify, Amazon, e-music and other leading download sites. The track is also available on CD as one of four that make up their 2009 Sad-Glad Songs EP on Lostmusic Records. Happy Families has already featured on popular indiepop and indie rock blogs and podcasts, such as the York-based Burning World and US-based Blalock’s Indierock Playlist. The title track from the EP currently features on the spring collection of Norwegian indiepop podcast, Eardrums Music. Happy Families will be accompanied by an animated video featuring traditional characters such as Mr Chalk The Teacher – turned bad.

The band are promoting the single with a five-date mini tour in the UK and Germany at:

16.07.09 London – The Dublin Castle

22.07.09 Berlin – The Bang Bang Club

23.07.09 Leipzig – Noch Besser Leben , FREE ENTRY
